BIG news!!

WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!! Austin proposed last night at the Botanical Gardens winter garden aglow.

He took me to the top of the gardens overlooking all of downtown Boise and the rest of the gardens and got down on one knee (in the snow) and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! I said I'd think about it. j/k I started balling like a baby and said yes! Then he took me to melting pot (my fave restaurant) and I called my mom (who already knew) and my Grama Ruth! We've got a wedding to plan now! I'm super excited!

Muffin tops....

Well, its been awhile since I've last posted... so here's the update. I've started the medifast diet, I eat 5 of their meals and one "lean and green" of my own. No carbs, no dairy, no sugar, no booze (gasp) The food actually isn't as awful as I thought (and after hearing gretchens description I'm surprised I'm even doing it!) the tomato soup is actually good as well as the chicken with wild rice. The Chicken noodle however... gross. The tiny chickens in it never get soft so they're like rocks in the middle of baby food. ugh. There are also shakes (most are not so fabulous...very chalky and taste like artificial sugar) the bars are pretty good. they are really dense so they hurt my jaw but they are filling and they last mostly until it's time for my next meal. The hot chocolate is yummy, I'm almost out of it though. there is also oatmeal, peach and blueberry are my favorites but the maple and brown sugar is ok too. And then there are the scrambled eggs..... it comes in a tiny bag. It's made out of powder and you put it into the microwave... it took me about a week to even look at it. So i kept an open mind and finally tried the powdered eggs. and they weren't as bad as i thought. Not something I could eat every day but not terrible. Anyway, the combo if medifast and the fact that I was super sick for like 4 days and could barely drink water let alone shove food down my throat, has contributed to my 16.8 lb weight loss! Yay! I'm restarting the program tomorrow (I'm trying to eat healthy right now so my strength is back up so I can go back to work tomorrow, I did cheat a little though and had a strawberry limeade from sonic today...oops) and I'm excited to get to my goal of 150. I'm at 165 right now so I'm halfway there!

In other news, my mom got a new job as an insurance agent and took her test today and passed! She just has 1 more test to go and then she can start! I'm super proud and excited for her to start her new career! Her and Casey also started taking care of a new springer spaniel puppy named Missy. She was lost so she might still have an owner but if after 30 days no one claims her she gets to stay. However, in the short time they've had her Rio already fell in love and knocked the poor girl up! So now there will be more puppies at the Brydsons... eek!

Well thats about it for now!

New Post

How about I start with some pictures?

I haven't posted anything yet and it's been awhile since Dana has posted so I thought I'd post something about, well, nothing.

First and foremost, I wanted to tell everyone about Dana's new job.  She's taken a job at David's Bridal (not sure if thats a good thing ;)) as a Sales Associate.  So right now she's working at Old Chicago, David's Bridal, Bar Fly Catering, and Party Gals.  She's incredibly busy but words can't express how proud of her I am.

I'm still at the nursing home, but I'd kill for a different gig.  It's just difficult to work in that environment for an extended period of time.  Kudos to those who can.  I also work  every Friday and Saturday at Old Chicago as well.

As everyone probably knows by now, we took a great trip to Alaska last month and it was wonderful.  Continue to check out the pics at the bottom of the page!

I was able to take a trip recently as well back to Oregon to watch my Ducks take on the Boise State Broncos.  I was disappointed in the outcome but I had a good time!  I miss college a lot sometimes, even more when I back in Oregon.  Sigh.

First Blog...

Well hello! Thanks for visiting our blog. I (Dana) thought this would be a good way to keep everyone up to speed on what Austin and I are doing these days. Since this is our first blog I'll tell you a bit about us. Austin and I started dating on June 1st 2006. We officially "met" while in a giant vat of ramen noodles... I had a noodle wrestling party at my house and he came over to wrastle (hee hee) it was love at first noodle...or maybe it was the 2nd. Anyway, we moved in together March of 07 and have recently been attempting to move to Austin, TX. I say attempting because we will not be moving until a job is found. Which is a lot harder than we had originally imagined. When we decided to move out of Boise we looked at a lot of different places like Portland, Seattle and Albuquerque (sp?) but decided that Austin fit our personalities and love of live music and had too much to offer than we could pass up. So the hunt is still on for a job so we can start our lives in Texas. Austin is applying for Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services among many others and we hope to land one soon. As for me I will be getting another bartending job hopefully and possibly a day job as well so I can start saving up for school again. I will be attending Austin Community College once I gain residency and when I graduate with my associates I will move on to a larger university to get my teaching credentials to be a (hopefully) 3rd grade teacher. Well, thats about it for now! Thanks for visiting, come back again and hopefully there will be some new updates!
Love,
Dana & Austin
